MISSION STATEMENT
The Maleny Community Hall and Cultural Centre will provide for all the community inclusively, from Junior participation through to and including seniors:
A central place where the diverse communities of Maleny gather - a meeting place characterised by diversity and a hub for discussion and interaction as an extension to the existing facilities on Maple Street. This is in accordance with the Caloundra City Council Social Policy and Strategy Plan.
A community centre which respects historical continuity, by encouraging participation from the most junior years through to activities for seniors.
A living icon of creativity and community, that is imbued with and reflects the soul and spirit of place that is Maleny. A place we are all proud of, that we want to take visitors to when they say 'show me Maleny'.
A home for local community groups. It provides flexible meeting spaces for their meetings, modern facilities for their activities and events, secure storage space for their records and equipment, and access to the office for administration and governance compliance.
A place of learning that hosts diverse lifelong learning activities and opportunities.
A modern venue for visual and performance arts that can effectively and efficiently host a number of art forms and events including classes, recreation, rehearsals, performances, exhibitions and festivals.
A place of learning that hosts diverse lifelong learning activities and education opportunities.
A destinational focal point for local, national and international cultural & arts related events.
Sustainable financial viability based on community and commercial enterprise.
Pedestrian linkages to improve access to community spaces within the Community and Cultural Precinct.
